The Women´s Network

The women´s work in the Norwegian Labour Party is done through a Women´s Network. The goal is that the Norwegian Labour Party will become Norway´s most gender equal party and promote a gender equal society.

The Women´s Network´s task is to put political matters of relevance for women on the agenda. The network shall also recruit, train and motivate women in the party for political work, and in particular for leader positions. All women in the Norwegian Labour Party shall be offered to engage themselves in the Women´s Network.

In addition to this, the network shall also maintain and develop the international engagements the Norwegian Labour Party has towards women in our sister organisations.

There are elected leaders of the Women´s Network and steering committees at county level and national level, in addition there are elected women´s contacts in the municipal branches of the party.

The national Steering Committee is lead by Anniken Huitfeldt.
